Berlin New Years Day

New Year's Day - Tom and I both agree that we are so very fortunate to have such wonderful friends, old and new, young and well, let's just say mature.  Here in Europe, at home and all over. We are filled with gratitude for our friends Irena & Rafael, their generosity, their sense of adventure and the shear fun that we have when we are with them. 

Not much more to say about New Year's Day other than we were treated to an exceptional impromptu recital by Irena's parents, musical masters. Irena's mom on the piano and her father, a seasoned opera singer.  One couldn't ask for a greater gift on the first day of a new year.  Each of us had tears in our eyes as we listened to each note.
